Our Mission
AuralVision develops and provides inexpensive glasses for the sight impaired which convert visual depth into stereo sound, creating an innovative way to experience and navigate the world.
Current Progress
Proof of Concept Achievement
We have successfully developed and built a working proof-of-concept, featuring three time-of-flight (ToF) laser sensors, bone-conduction stereo headphones to keep the ears uncovered, rechargeable battery pack and custom Python software for depth-to-audio conversion. Next steps include adding two more ToF sensors for broader width of object detection, and an accelerometer to mute sounds when the glasses are kept still, allowing the user to more easily hear conversations and background sounds.

Technical Collaboration Needed
We're seeking expertise in:
- Electronic hardware design refinement and miniaturization
- PCB layout of a flex circuit board implementation
- Mechanical design of STP file for 3D printed glasses frames
- Python software development
- Beta testing and user interface feedback
- Knowledge of possible grants and grant proposals
